刘慎校长提出了家庭教育的重要性，“推动摇篮的手，就是推动社会的手。”并指出学校要求老师用爱心来帮助每位孩子，帮助孩子们养成好的习惯，最后希望家校合力，让每一位学生成才。

新一届家委会会长伍思齐爸爸代表家委会发言，“感谢上一届以石会长为首的家委们的热情付出与贡献！感谢新当选的所有家委的无私付出！我相信在我们所有人的共同努力下，我们的孩子会越来越优秀，厚德书院会越办越好！

今后家委的工作目标是：在学校与家长之间构建好交流平台，使学校的教育教学方针得到更好的实施与执行，使家长们的真实想法与正确诉求有一条通畅的沟通渠道，让学校与家长们的关系达到和谐一致的平衡状态，产生一加一大于二的合作能量。”

伍会长提出了厚德书院让家长和学生非常满意的地方：老师具有极高的教育教学水准、学校每年组织的ELP、ELC都有着极高的价值，同时也非常中肯地指出了学校还有待加强的方面。
